The accident prevention grant scheme for contribution payers entitled “IMPROVING HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK THROUGH THE MODERNISATION OF LIGHTING SYSTEMS AND THE REDUCTION OF PHYSICAL STRESS ON THE WAREHOUSE WORKER – WAREHOUSE OPERATOR” at ARLEN S.A
The main objective of the project entitled “IMPROVING HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK THROUGH THE MODERNISATION OF THE LIGHTING SYSTEM AND THE REDUCTION OF PHYSICAL STRESS ON THE WORKSTATION OF THE – WAREHOUSE OPERATOR” at ARLEN S.A. was to improve working conditions by:
  • Modernization of the lighting system, which provided adequate lighting at warehouse worker/warehouse employee workstations. The system was replaced in two warehouse facilities in Opoczno, which were included in the project. The new lighting meets the lighting requirements for workstations, as confirmed by lighting measurements taken after installation. Thanks to proper lighting, the risk of accidents due to failure to notice hazards, such as obstacles or protruding elements, was reduced, which could have led to accidents such as trips or falls. The installed modern lighting also allows employees to ensure visual comfort, visual efficiency appropriate for the specific visual tasks performed, their well-being, and, above all, work safety.
  • Reduced strain on the musculoskeletal system at warehouse worker/warehouse employee workstations, which was achieved through the purchase of five additional electric pallet trucks. Two of the trucks are in use at the warehouses in Żyradów and three at the warehouses in Opoczno. The purchased trolleys have reduced the share of purely physical work associated with moving goods between warehouses and with transporting goods within warehouses, which significantly reduces the strain on the musculoskeletal system and lowers the energy expenditure of employees.
Following the modernisation of the lighting in the work areas (warehouse in Opoczno), the required level of lighting at workstations was achieved – which has reduced the level of risk associated with this hazard source from

Following the modernisation of the lighting in the work areas (the warehouse in Opoczno), the correct level of lighting at workstations was achieved – which made it possible to reduce the risk associated with this hazard from a significant level to an acceptable level. Similarly, the purchase of additional electric pallet trucks has reduced the occupational risk associated with this hazard from a low level to an acceptable level.
